As seen in Figure 2.2, neither candidate reaches the ideal president in terms of their emotional intelligence scores.
They also had the strongest relationship between their emotional intelligence scores and their follower ratings.
Managers who agreed with their followers (both good and bad leaders) also had positive relationships between their emotional intelligence scores and their follower's ratings, but not quite as strong as the humble leaders.
The norming process resulted in standard scores with means of 100 and standard deviations of 15 for the total emotional intelligence score, as well as composite scales, and subscales.
Their emotional intelligence scores may be high as a result of "saving face" or the "status conscious" effect of trying to look good.
